    Riot In The Playground
So I haven't posted a blog in a long time. What is there to say?

Still working at Taction, it has been over six years now as of last month (June). A few people I know find it hard to believe I'd still be working for the company. Why should I apologize for earning a steady income and having a relatively secure job? Plus I'm not in food service or doing any type of manual labor.

Know what I think the problem is with a lot of people? We live in a generation where it is not only acceptable but admirable to either be out of work for long periods of time or bounce around from one job to another every six months. Given this is the general mindset of a lot of 20-something's in our world today, it is no wonder I find it difficult to meet anybody I can actually relate to.

To change the subject slightly, I took a ten day vacation from work earlier this month. That is over now. Not only was my vacation unpaid, it was also non-productive and I don't feel like I truly had an opportunity to relax. So it was sort of a wasted venture.

As for my personal life, I've had a few dates here and there but nothing that has gotten off the ground. The last time around, I visited a historical site with someone I know a little. No dates and no names, of course, which fits in with my private nature. Anyway, the conversation was pretty good and I was engaged in the conversation, which is rare for me because I can be a little aloof at times. I thought things went well and there was a little potential. But it is back to the drawing board. I had to pry a little just to find out what happened and she chose to tell me what was up via text message. The reply was she had met someone a day or two after her and I went out and there was an instant "click." I don't get too bent out of shape about these things anymore, nor do I dwell on this sort of thing a whole lot. So this is really all I'm going to say on the subject. At least it is one less person to make phone calls to and reply to emails from. It sounds crass but what the hell? My time is valuable, isn't it? :)

Gotta run! I'm off to cut and paste this entry into some of my other online journals and blogs.

Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey.....What is Going On Here?!
Haven't written here in a long time but I am BACK, baby!

Since my last entry, a few things have happened. Let me detail them.....

    1. I filed my taxes this year and already received both refunds.

    2. I purchased Red Sox tickets for a game this July.

    3. Somebody hit my car while it was parked at the post office (the other driver was at fault).

    4. After receiving my insurance claim, I had my car repaired at a local body shop. The work totalled $1400 and my insurance check covered every penny and then some.

    5. My mother's birthday has come and gone.

    6. Valentine's Day has come and gone without incident, as it always does.

    7. My 29th birthday has come and gone.

    8. Still haven't come across Miss Right!

With all of that said, things are going all right. Plus I've managed to divorce myself from the internet forums I was posting at. It was taking up too much of my time at night and the time spent on them was woefully unproductive.

    That's all.

    Will M.

    Christmas has come and gone
Another Christmas has come and gone. This one was fairly good and also low key. In the morning, all of us opened presents at my dad's and then everybody went over to my mother's at around 1 pm for Christmas dinner. Dinner was prime rib, potato and carrots. I wasn't able to finish my potato and that was primarily because I had eaten a lot of candy and a piece of cake in the interim :)

What I ended up getting was a couple of Red Sox dvd's, the movie "Killer Klowns from Outer Space", the first Van Halen album on cd, Journey's new album on cd, three baseball books, a few baseball cards, a boxed Sega Genesis system (used), a few vintage video games, some clothes and some candy. One funny moment from this visit was provided by my seven year old nephew Jacob. He complained that his sister "got more presents" than he did. As it turns out, they received the same dollar amount. Jacob's presents were just a little more expensive for each one, thus his sister opened more boxes. Not that you can explain that to him, though, his mom and dad weren't able to :)

After all of that was over, I went back home and spent a couple hours getting everything put away and cleaning up. I must say I've been extremely tired these past 2 weeks and hope things will finally settle down a little with the holidays over.

In other news, my new niece was born at 6:10 pm on Christmas Eve. Her name is Hayley and she is my second niece (following Julia). Hayley is the sister of my other nephew Noah. Noah spent the whole day at the hospital with his dad and mom on Christmas Eve. When he had to leave to go open presents and get Christmas dinner, he was upset. So despite his age, he wasn't the least bit interested in opening presents for most of the day. All he wanted to do was go back to Rockport and see his mum and new baby sister.

In the here and now, I am sitting around at work dead tired and don't really want to be here. But I will be until about 6:30 or so. After tomorrow, though, I do have 3 days off :)

    Wish I could say.....
Wish I could say there was something interesting going on in my life but it is mostly more of the same. Halloween has come and gone, so has the Presidential election. The transmission on my car is slipping a little and the furnace isn't running right at home.

The good news is that I was able to get the interest rate lowered on both of my credit cards in the past few days. There has been some bad news, though. My health insurance plan has been screwed up to the point where I was charged $160 for a physical that shouldn't have cost a thing. So I need to look into this a little and maybe make a phone call or two.

Not a whole heck of a lot else going on. The new dog, Gena, is working out all right. She does need to be crated all day when I am at work, since she is a chewer, and also can not be let off leash. I have yet to find a calming supplement to keep her quiet during the daytime. Oh well.

I bid you all adieu until I write again,

    In Memory of Dryfus
Dryfus passed away about 5 weeks ago, a lot sooner than the doctors (vet) predicted he would. It was a Tuesday afternoon when he expired. Around the time he died, I was busy getting rid of a hornet's nest that had been built right under the front porch. So I had been working on that during the afternoon. My goal was to saturate the nest and the hornets living there with lots of spray. I went through a bottle and a half of stuff, which is all that we had on hand. When I ran out, I made a trip to the hardware store to pick up a couple more bottles of spray. Around the time I left, Dryfus went into the kitchen to lay down.

Roughly twenty minutes later, I returned from the store with more hornet spray. I entered the kitchen and spotted Dryfus laying in the doorway. I spoke to him, mostly to avoid tripping over or stepping on him, and he didn't respond. Checking him out, I discovered he was no longer breathing. A week or two before, Dryfus had been given about four months to live with his tumor and cancer. Finding him dead was a bit of a surprise, it didn't even sink in like these sort of things normally do. As a result, I handled it better than people are supposed to under these circumstances. I was fortunate to find a neighbor who helped me bury him. It took all of ten minutes to finish the job and he was gone. So there weren't a whole lot of opportunities for "goodbye." That is one of the things that sucks about Dryfus dying in his sleep while I am at the hardware store. The good thing about Dryfus dying in his sleep is that he didn't suffer or feel any pain.

I didn't have a whole lot of time to dwell on all of this. As busy as my life can be with miscellaneous crap, I don't have time to mourn the departed. I immediately got back into the swing of things by finishing the job on the hornets nest. It took me about 10-15 minutes to finally destroy the nest, which sent the hornets scattering. I didn't even get stung in the process. We also set out a hornet trap, which is similar to a fly trap. Just some small bottle type thing full of sticky liquid that is meant to attract hornets. This was placed on the front lawn.

Just a few words about Dryfus, who you may see pictured on this post. I first got him back in 2001, when I was still in college. At the time, he was 18 months old. Dryfus was a hefty black lab and retriever mix. He was an excellent watchdog and always barked when people drove in. Dryfus got along great with kids and other animals. Dryfus enjoyed car rides, slices of bread, going for walks and being brushed. He was a good dog, loving companion and a near-perfect friend. I'll miss him.

    Borrowed Time
Since I last wrote nearly 3 months ago, there have been some new developments. I am on vacation from work for about 11 days starting this Friday, July 4th. I don't have any big plans for my vacation, aside from spending a couple of days in Boston next Monday and Tuesday. My stepdad Sam and I will be going to Fenway Park for the Red Sox/Twins game on July 7th. I finally got around to purchasing our tickets about three or four weeks ago. They were pretty expensive. I ended up getting two loge box seats for close to $300. Add in the cost of the hotel room we are getting for the night of the game and this two day getaway will cost close to $500. This doesn't even include gas, the food I will be getting at the ballpark or the shopping I might end up doing in the downtown Boston shops. Granted Sam and I are splitting the cost of the tickets and the hotel room but still, it isn't cheap to attend a baseball game. The only real break we are getting is that by staying at the hotel near the ballpark, we don't have to "pay" for parking. That is already covered with the cost of our hotel room. As always, I am sure the two of us will have a great time in Boston. I can't wait to have some lunch and a few brews at one of the sports bars near the park.

The other news I have to report isn't quite so good. My black lab Dryfus has been in and out of the vet a few times over the past couple of weeks. I noticed awhile back that he was having some difficulty breathing and had very little appetite. After 2-3 days of this, with him not eating, I skipped work to bring him to my regular vet. They checked him out with some blood work and x-rays, keeping him there all day. A few hours and $350 later, they discovered Dryfus had a noticeable bump in between his ribs and chest. My local vet is a fairly small office and they told me that to find out what the bump was, my dog would need to go to a bigger vet that uses an ultrasound machine not found at this particular vet. In the meantime, they gave me some antibiotics to help Dryfus eat. Those have actually worked fairly well for him, he has been eating like he used to.

A few days later, I took Dryfus to the Bath/Brunswick vet I was referred to. In the process, I ended up getting horribly lost but only managed to be about 10 minutes late for our visit. Again, he was kept there all day for some tests and blood work. To make a long story short, the doctor there told me the bump inside of Dryfus is a malignant tumor which is producing some bleeding into the thorax. There are only two options for this type of thing, either surgery or chemotherapy. Both of those are quite expensive and neither of them promise a great deal of success. Basically there is nothing that can be done really.

As a result, Dryfus will live with this until its eventual conclusion. The good news here is that he isn't going anywhere right away and it isn't going to cause him a great deal of suffering. His only discomfort would be some stomach pain but that would be helped out by the antibiotics. Most days he will be pretty good and he won't start to "go south" or deteriorate until the end stages. The doctor estimates Dryfus has roughly 4 months remaining, give or take. This is very disappointing news. However, I am comforted in the fact that Dryfus will enjoy himself for the majority of this time and that he has lived a fairly long life (nine years). My dog is on borrowed time and we have no choice but to make the best of things.

    Til next time,

    Will

    Just Catching Up
Not much happening here. I've been working a little overtime until we get some new people hired at work. It isn't all that bad, though. I've done a better job of managing my free time lately by cutting some extra-curricular activities out of my life that were keeping me from enjoying some of my other hobbies. One hobby I am still failing to keep up with is my story and that has been abandoned for far too long. I just don't know where to pick it up again.

Otherwise, life has stabilized some. My nephew Noah has become a Mario fanatic and I found him a couple of Mario games for his Gameboy Advance. Plus my sister's old Super Nintendo crapped out so I helped her replace it. As for my own gaming, I've been getting knee deep into Franchise Mode for a few editions of Madden and also started playing through the first two Zelda games on the NES again. Fun stuff.

Nothing is really new with my family. My mother has a new house in Waldoboro again, but she had moved in there before my last couple of entries. I simply forgot to mention it is all. Just two more days of work and I will finally make it to Sunday and three days off in a row. That'll be nice. Until then, two more days of grind.

I haven't got much else to say. I might as well post this thing as is.

    Radio and Tax Returns
What a lousy subject line for this entry. Oh well. A really cold rain outside. I think it is making my brain freeze. Spring can't come soon enough.

About the radio show, I've quit doing it. You can only do the same thing for so long before it becomes boring and even a burden. So as of a couple months ago, my nine year adventure in radio is over. Will I ever do it again? Probably not. Never say never, though.

I've got around $600 coming back in my tax returns, just waiting for them to be deposited into my bank account. I sent those in through TurboTax sometime last week. Well that's all. Nothing going on for Valentine's Day either but that is to be expected. It is my least favorite holiday and I mean that.

    Creepshow
I'm sitting here in bed with the 1980's horror movie Creepshow running in the background. Anyway, things have been ok on my end. It has been awfully busy at work, which isn't so bad. At least my paychecks have been good.

Christmas turned out all right. I spent the first part of the day working, the second part at my mother's new house and the third part at home with the family over. I ended up getting a few used games for X-Box and PS2. I also got the remake of Halloween, done by Rob Zombie, which I saw in the theater a few months back. That was a plus, since it was one of the things on my list. I also got a few new shirts, a new pair of pants and plenty of new socks, which I really needed.

Speaking of the Halloween movies, I ended up raiding a movie store that was selling off a pile of old movies. They had the first seven Halloween movies on VHS for $3 each, which I grabbed. The store was also selling the original 1997 dvd of the first Halloween for $4. I bought that, too.

In other news, I still need a good lady. In the immediate future, I do have three days off in a row after my work week is finished this Saturday. Well I am off until I have something else to post.

Whether I like it or not
Seeing that I haven't written an entry in almost a month, I am obligated to post something here but there isn't much to say. Not because I don't enjoy writing in here. The problem is that there isn't a whole lot going on.

The Red Sox are back in the World Series again, playing Colorado. My dad is still in the hospital and I'm not even sure what his current status is. My nephew turned six a few days ago. I didn't get to his birthday party because I was working when it took place Saturday afternoon. Speaking of work, that is going all right but the pace is picking up a little bit (busier) and we have a lot of new employees on the floor. They are all good, though, more or less. Oh, and I recently picked up a Sega Nomad (a portable system that plays Sega Genesis games).

Still no steady mate but that isn't a high priority. Well, until we meet again. I got to go so I can (try to) follow Monday Night Football.

Farewell to "I Wanna Be Famous"
As some of you know, I have been on air at WRFR 93.3 and 99.3 FM in midcoast Maine for a little over five years hosting a couple of different shows. One of those is "Smash Alley" on Monday afternoons, my signature show, and the other is my red headed stepchild program, "I Wanna Be Famous" which airs on Tuesday afternoons.

Tomorrow afternoon, Tuesday the 25th, I will be quietly closing the book on "I Wanna Be Famous" and will reduce my broadcasting workload to Monday afternoons with "Smash Alley." I will only be on air one day a week.

So I'll drop from 7 hours of programming to 4 and that is by choice. Maintaining both shows was getting to be a bit of a grind, seeing that it is a very thankless endeavour and one I don't receive any monetarily compensation for. I do it as a labour of love. Such is the norm at small, non-commercial radio stations.

I've already cleaned out the majority of my music rotation, for both programs, and the plan is to combine the best of the remaining music for both shows into my Monday program, "Smash Alley." So the play list will remain mostly the same but I removed A LOT of stuff that wasn't as essential and stuff that I frankly didn't need to promote anymore with airplay.

Don't worry. "Smash Alley" isn't going away. I'm still doing that show. It will be on the same as always every Monday afternoon from 1-5. 93.3 and 99.3 FM in Rockland/Camden, Maine or online at www.wrfr.org (live internet streaming).

So if you like, tune in for the final episode of my Tuesday broadcast. It won't be a party, lovefest or some tribute. It will be a very understated farewell show to that program, pretty much business as usual. Just me "letting go" of the less popular of my two shows.

Despite my suggested criticism of this little Tuesday show, though, it was still a program that helped me improve on-the-air. A program that was the home to over three dozen artist interviews, a program that had some of the most unique and varied playlists anywhere in modern American radio and a program that ran for over 230 episodes and nearly survived to it's 5th year, despite living in the shadow of "Smash Alley" which was my original foray into radio at WRFR, before starting "I Wanna Be Famous", and which will carry on using lessons learned and music from its Tuesday counterpart.

About "Smash Alley", today's show was pretty good. The program is going to continue trucking on and there will be some minor changes in the format. I am not changing the type of music I play, the artists or the song selections. Rather I will be employing a few new ideas to change how I present the music. The only other change is that some of the music which was used exclusively on "I Wanna Be Famous" and survived the huge cuts I made to my music rotation (due to dropping those 3 hours) will now be featured on "Smash Alley."

I personally believe that this change will only improve "Smash Alley." It may take a week or two for me to become comfortable with this transition. I will no longer be planning my Monday shows out weeks in advance like I used to. I will bring 70-80 cd's to each broadcast and will pick out a playlist as the day goes along.

If you are a regular in "Smash Alley," let me know how the changes go over.

    Coffee at 10:25 PM
Here I am drinking coffee at 10:25 PM. I won't be in bed for a solid two hours. Today was a good day, I played my Atari Jaguar a little and also ran a comprehensive virus scan on both of my computers. It doesn't sound like a sexy way to spend an afternoon but I've never been accused of bringing sexy back either. This afternoon was a productive one, though. Even the garage got cleaned out.

So my dad did have his open heart surgery awhile back and made it through. Since then, he has been transferred three different times and is currently in Maine Medical Center over in Portland. He is experiencing some memory loss and hallucinations, among other things. Not a whole lot more I can say. It is a matter of wait and see.

Wait and see is also becoming the mantra for my personal life. I haven't dated in nearly a year and that one ended with less than desirable results. You carry on, though. I am in the best shape of my life, I am not in and out of jail, I'm not abusive and I don't have any crippling addictions (drugs, alcohol or otherwise). I also have talent, maybe even potential. Sure, some things in my life are not where I want them to be but I am not in a race against the clock, myself or anybody else. I guess what I am saying is that like a high tide, I always resurface after I've encountered a setback or challenge.

Another Journal Entry To Fill Some Space Here
Just some survey questions which I saw a couple of my friends (MySpace ones) put in a bulletin. Might as well use it here to fill my blog quota, eh? It beats having to write an original entry, that is for sure!

    1. Last time you had butterflies in your stomach?
-Awhile back when I went to the Olive Garden on a date, the date wasn't very good to tell you the truth but I was nervous beforehand. I think it was just the girl I was going with.

    2. What did you dream last night?
-I was talking to my sister-in-law about something.

    3. Who [are] the friend's you can count on the most?
-I count on myself before counting on anybody else. If I can't do the job, nobody can! :)

    4. Where was your first kiss with your current or last significant other?

    5. What do you think happens when you die?
-Come back and try again as somebody else until you get it right, like Albert Brooks in Defending Your Life.

    6. What is something you've learned about yourself recently?
-I am more resourceful than people give me credit for.

    7. Ever failed at something?
    -Who hasn't?

-One of the Steve's is (I know a couple)

    -No

    16. Is anyone jealous of you?
-I know a few people who should be because they have no peace in their life like I do.

    17. Has a friend ever used you?
-No more or less than I've used them. Using people isn't always a bad thing, it depends on what you are using them for.

    -Sure

    19. Ever walked away from something without looking back?

    -Not right now.

    31. Do you like your life?
    -Yes

    32. Has one of your friends ever stabbed you in the back?

    -Happens a lot.

    46. What's the largest age difference between yourself and someone you have dated?
-I've dated someone who was 8 years younger and someone else who was about 11-12 years older. It happens.

    47. Have you ever dated/fooled around with a co-worker?
-I've tried to date a bunch. It depends on how you define it. I dated a person who I met at work, which may seem like a mistake now but it felt right at the time. I also ended up getting a job at the same place with a girl who I was already dating at the time, her and I applied together and both got hired as dishwashers down in York, Maine.

    48. When do you see yourself having kids?
    -When I am married

    Open Heart Surgery
So my dad is having open heart surgery in Portland, Maine today. I hope it turns out well. My dad suffered both a heart attack and stroke at the same time late one night about a week ago. He was already in the hospital for something else, so it is fortunate he was not home when this all happened. He was transferred this morning from the hospital he was at in Rockland over to Portland for the surgery.

I'll be honest here. Him and I never really had a good relationship and I was always closer to my mother. My father always looked at me as a disappointment or curiosity, so this is a pretty strange feeling for me. I'm working until 4:30 PM today, so maybe I'll hear something about it when I get home after work. I don't do much in the way of praying so if anybody out there does, please pray for him. Otherwise, there isn't much going on.

    The middle of June
Ever hate feeling obligated to write in an online journal or diary, even when nothing is going on, just so people who stop by the page don't think you have totally abandoned it? I'm still here and I'm still interested in maintaining this journal. I just have nothing interesting to write. My oldest brother and I have a crappy relationship, which is nothing new and which I was reminded of the other day.

It seems my dad is interested in selling his old Monte Carlo. He wants $2,500 for it. On paper, I can see where it would be worth $2,500. In reality, though, there aren't a lot of people around here with that kind of money to spend on an old car from the 1980's, even if it does run fairly well and is a solid vehicle.

In a related note, one of my pet peeves is people with a complete lack of perspective. The sort of people with such one-track minds that nothing will ever wake them up.

    Let Love In
I haven't posted here in forever. Life has been so busy. Awhile back, I got promoted to a weekend supervisor position at my job here in Waldoboro. I am there right now during a rare lull in the action. The pay increase isn't huge but I do end up with $2 more per hour than I would if I were doing customer service during the week. It also helps that I am here all day long. Sometimes working as an agent and doing customer service, I would be sent home if it was slow that particular Saturday. Since I am now finishing out my shift every Saturday, my checks are a little bit bigger. Not bad at all.

With all of the rain we've had in Union, I am a little behind on mowing the lawn. Not to mention I've got a ton of trash to take to the dump tomorrow. It should be another long Sunday. At least it will keep me from getting tempted to drive to Augusta, Camden or Rockland and pissing money away in a video store or EB Games. As they say, idle hands do the devil's work.

I need to mention that I feel relieved since putting my quest for a soulmate on hold. I have a lot less headaches now that I am not dating or pursuing anyone.

    100 Random Facts About Yourself
This is not a real entry, just another forward/list type of thing. It took me forever to do this and when I got close to the end, I stopped putting in as much effort.

    Cheers,

    Will

All you need to do is list 100 random things that people may not know about you. It can be absolutely anything, as long as you aren't repeating yourself. Here are mine.....

If you like this idea, put this in your journal.

ONE: I have a college degree that means nothing to me.

TWO: I was engaged a very, very long time ago. Seeing that I am unmarried, you can safely assume it did not work out.

THREE: I work in a building with a woman who was born the same day and year that I was, I even graduated with her in the same class.

FOUR: Although a lot of New England Patriots fans have jumped on board after they started winning Super Bowls, I was a fan way back when they had the cheesy guy in the Patriot hat for the team logo.

FIVE: I do not take criticism very well if I feel that the person criticizing me can't do the same job as well as I can.

SIX: The first concert I ever went to see was the Dixie Chicks.

SEVEN: I am on a desperate search for the movie, "Miracle Beach" from 1992, starring Ami Dolenz. Please help! UPDATE: I recently found it!

EIGHT: As I type this question, I am listening to cool indie music. The band is Star No Star. Check them out: www.starnostar.com

TWELVE: I consider myself far from fluent in French, even though I took
a French class in high school.

THIRTEEN: I own a very small cd/wholesale business that I do on the side called Sedentary Rock. I do not make enough money to really declare it on taxes. It is more of a 'make a credit card payment here and there' type of income.

FOURTEEN: I like lots of really obscure European rock/metal bands.

FIFTEEN: I may have had a daydream or two (while awake) that I was dating Alyssa Milano. Could also be just a rumor, too (gulp!).

SIXTEEN: On the first real date I ever had, the transmission blew in my car and I had to drive the whole night in second gear. That sucked.

SEVENTEEN: People say I have a very dull and boring phone voice but that I am more engaging in person.

EIGHTEEN: I used to hate any and all onions in food but just in the last year, or so, I have learned to tolerate them a little more.

NINETEEN: I have an explosive temper when someone pushes the right buttons.

TWENTY: I've done low-carb, low-calorie and low-fat diets over my dieting career. Not currently on one, because I am at the perfect weight :)

FIFTY THREE: I am a coffee addict, decaf or regular. It doesn't matter!

    Asleep At The Wheel
I haven't written a new post here in awhile because my life has been on auto-pilot. Same job, same routine and same people. I've been picking at my book some but that has been a little slow. I've recently restored my zest for playing video games, thanks to an XBox which I received for Christmas. That is a plus. Things are all right at the radio station with my shows. We have a new music director and that is about it. I probably forgot to mention that we changed managers and also got some new cd players awhile back.

As for my car, it just climbed over 200,000 miles on Monday. I wasn't the original driver, so only about 20,000 of those are mine. The job in Waldoboro is still rolling along with its usual ups and downs. My online selling has also been steady, which is a nice thing to have on my plate. Things are ok with my family and my dog, Dryfus. With all of that said, I'll see you next time.

Oh yeah, almost forgot the "big" news. I turned 27 back on February 27th. Happy Birthday to me! Even if it is a little late.

    Filing Taxes And Other Updates
Since I last wrote, there hasn't been much going on at all. My mother's birthday has come and gone. So has Valentine's Day. My own birthday is February 27th, which is one week from today. I'll be 27. All I've been up to recently is working and filing my taxes. Both my state and federal returns have been filed online. I've already gotten my state refund back (about $80). I am still waiting to receive the federal return (about $400) and it is a few days late. I wonder if something is wrong. I chose to have it direct deposited into my bank account, so it should have been there by now. I am not worried about an audit. I am just wondering if somehow I didn't completely finish my form online. I've never had a problem with it before, though.

I've decided to give up on trying to date people for the time being. I've come to the conclusion that I need to be a little more concerned with myself. So in my free time, I've been enjoying the XBox that I got for Christmas. Why deal with bullshit, mind games and cranky people (all from people like Amber) when I can relax and play some video games? I have about 45-50 sports games on the system and not much else. The graphics are awesome and I love the fact I can save games to a hard drive (like a computer) instead of those stupid memory cards like Sony and Nintendo use on their consoles. F**k that! I've been so used to the "older" disc-based systems from a few years ago, like Dreamcast and PS1, that it is pretty cool to play something that will kick your ass.

    Well, I've got to go!
